threads too wide, reading requires scrolling back and forth

when I get into a thread it becomes too wide to fit my screen. other sections of the forum act like they normally do, along with every other forum I'm on, it's just when I get to the separate threads, and they all do it here.

I'm using both firefox and safari on a mac 10.4.11 on a laptop.
all other forums I've been on act normal.

It is because of large photos and viewing in linear mode. Switch to threaded mode and only the big pic posts will be wide.
