Server SUCKS, did you upgrade or something? Trying to post replies times out.

SO as the title says, 9 out of 10 times I try to post a reply recently it times out and the reply is lost, same thing with just clicking on a thread, loading times out. So did you guys do the upgrade to V4 and not roll it out properly? Is the server overloaded? WTF is going on, getting on here and browsing and interacting is getting to be a very real PITA. No it's not my connection, when it happens I navigate to other sites on the WWW and I get there fine, pages loaded in good time, no time outs.

    Houston, we have a problem.

Tapatalk and the web are responding very slowly during a post.

Now that the, er, uprgrade, is done, everytime I post a reply to a thread, the attempt times out and I get an error message. When I go back to the thread, lo and behold, there's my post. So it looks like it's posting, but not completing the redirect back to my post.

I'm seeing the same thing, both in Chrome and in Tapatalk. I've also noticed a bunch of double posts in threads today, so it seems a lot of other people are having issues.

I'm having the same issue. After posting the site times out so I have to refresh. After refreshing the site says something to the effect that what I am posting is a duplicate post then takes me to my original post.

I PM'd myself in tapatalk. It locked up but the message was delivered. No email arrived, though.

I tested it your way and got the same result. I wonder why it locks up and won't show sent confirmation. Also I don't see the message in my sent folder.
Edit: while posting this I got this and it locked up but still posted. So it's not just pm related.

Exact problem I was having, actually didn't even think this thread had been posted, closed my browser after "trying" to post and just in browsing new posts this AM saw these replies. Hopefully they've got it fixed, was very annoying composing a long reply and then having it disappear.

Still on going problem through out the forum. As for replies. Hit reply, stop browser, hit it reply again. Hopefully Admin/Mods are trying to fix this but almost every site I visited yesterday was having some sort of problem.

You would think that the mods would make a post or put up a banner letting us know what's going on and ask for us to be patient. The not know what's going on is the worst part.

    Hey Guys,
Thanks for the alert. We are upgrading over at RoadBikeReview and there seems to be some collateral damage.

Can you let me know if you are all still having problems or not?

Is the problem just PMs or is it still the loading error when posting?

    Thanks,

    -g

    EDIT: Added system information below

Windows 7 system using both IE and Chrome
The errors are still persisting. When you post, it freezes on the transfer back to the page. You don't get that holding page that indicates the server is busy. Now, if you give it a second, you can click back on the link or the breadcrumbs on the thread and the post will be there.

For PMs, it is hard to tell if they go through. Some seem to work, others maybe not. They do not appear to get copied to sent mail in either case.

iOS6 & tapatalk (no browser for posting; just reading)
In tapatalk, it is waiting on things unseen. When posting, it whirls until times out. You can then cancel the post and go back to the thread. A refresh shows the post.

In terms of upgrade to the new version here, is there a timeline?

Thanks for the info. Keep the reports coming if you have any different errors to report, please include whether you are on desktop or mobile and if you are mobile, are you using tapatalk or browser.

Timeline was the next week or so. We might have to alter that timeline depending on all the issues on this rollout for RoadBikeReview.

    New (isolated?) finding
In Win 7/IE, I posted in a thread but the automatic subscription didn't seem to take (I don't see it in the list of threads in the control panel)

Have to double click submit reply to post otherwise the connection times out or goes to 403 (?) error message. Not sure the report post function is working, had many problems with PM's last night, don't know if that has improved, haven't tried again. Desktop.
