    mikesee asked this in another thread, but I thought it was worth putting here.

    He has always used html code to resize the images he posts to get his desired result. BBCode apparently supports that functionality, but it doesn't work on this site (I tried it). Basically it's just a parameter under the img tag. Any way to enable that functionality?

    Gregg, for utoob videos do we copy the url or the embed code? Does this have anything to do with the Viglink stuff I spoke to you about?

    Is that why his Images have disappeared in the 29 action thread? Major bummer!

    Let me check to see if that is a setting (easy to change) or a plug-in (hard to change).

    For YouTube videos, copy the URL (not the embed code).

    Viglink is legit, they are an advertiser of ours and should mostly show up for non-registered forum users.

    I just tried two different ways and it looks like it's not possible to embed a Pink Bike video. You can link to it though.

    FYI, I have corrected a bunch of Mikesee's photos in the 29er Action thread. Two of his posts on page 1, 1 of his posts on page 3 and 1 of his posts on page 39.

    As far as I can tell, the only way to fix this is to do a manual search and replace. On Mike's posts, it's 4 replacements. Not hard, but a bit time consuming, no doubt.

    Gregg, there appears to be some BB modifications that allow for more robust media integration, including pink bike. Do you know if what is described here would work on this forum?

    Yeah, there should be a plugin that will make stuff work. I just installed one on my local forum that embeds vids from over 80 different sites. Users don't even need to use bbcode. They just post the link, and the plugin does the work to embed the video with a player. PinkBike works. My local mtb forum is on SMF, so obviously the same plugin won't work here. But there's GOTTA be something that will work with vBulletin.

    Hello kyle242gt,

    I have added it as a custom BB code, so it should work now.

    Test:
    This should show up as striked out.

    code is simply: [s t r I k e] [/s t r i k e] (with no spaces)

    EDIT: Hold on, I'll have reset something. Code doesn't work yet. Be right back.

    Those both show as Strike through for me, but I guess you want to be able to just use /s instead of the full word.

    Any chance of getting additional video formats to work?

    This is a lot tougher and will take more time. The fact that I can't implement it myself means it's much more complicated.

    Can't commit to this one at this time.

    Is there any way to specify an image URL width like you can with HTML?

    <img src="URL" width="700px">

    No way to do that any more?

    Okay, cool. Well, it looks like the strike code is working. For some reason, it doesn't show up as working for me, but I'll take everyone else's word that it is.

    I tried finding an easy fix for the image resize that works with our version of Vbulletin, but I couldn't find one. This is a popular request, so I'll keep looking.

    Strike code worked for me.

    To Do List
    * Add strike code
    * Video Format options
    * Auto image resizing (this mostly applies to linked image files. Maybe hard to do without html on the fly)

    Any update on the auto resizing of images? Unless I'm missing something here, I can no longer use the 'link to' image function on picasa, my files are too large to upload directly. So, in order for me to post an image I have to first resize it?

    Can't say how much I hate your V-bull crap. Wonderful a multi-step process that's a nightmare to read with the typical complex one of abreviations that seemingly are unique to only this forum (I post on a couple dozen forums and now have to learn and remember the special crap here just to post pics. Sorry I'm 60+ years old and even the red letter notification that I can't post pics is difficult to figure out what it means. I guess it's standard operating procedure: Some jerkweed posts some bad stuff and everyone on the site has to go through extra pain just because of them instead of their asses simply being locked out/off.
