    Noobs post spamming

Recently there have been a lot of new members spamming threads just to get their post count up so that they can ask their dumb newb question. For example, they will spam a thread with a one or two word reply like "hello" or "nice bike", and then within a few minutes, they are up to post count 5 and can start a new thread. Is there a way to prevent or automatically detect this? Like having fewer than 20 words within 5 posts within 1 hour?
