    New MTBR links embedded mid-thread

Admins - this is pretty ridiculous.

Not only does it dupe the links just to the right of it, it makes the page longer as well as breaking the flow of information pertinent to the thread.

Please remove this new embedded ad. I know you want traffic on your homepage, but mtbr is really known for the forums, and you keep messing with the formula.

Nuh uh, this forum is very cutting edge and everything works flawlessly on 12 year old computers. There is no ad, nothing to see here, move along..

    Agreed.

This place exists because of advertising
admins: you seem like smart people. But if you think that driving click rates and page views is the way to run things in 2013 you are sorely out of touch. 1997 called, they want their failed business model back.

This is a community, build on that to pay the bills.

+1 on this - hate the dumb inserted text. I click on the MTBR content on the right when I want to - I know its there.

At least give us the option to turn it off in our account settings.

While I'm on the subject, the "wide mode" vs. "fixed mode" thing should "stick" in my account settings, since I don't keep cookies after closing browser. ( Why is fixed the default - its lame on a desktop )

    2 improvements that were regressions....

That really is annoying when scrolling through a thread. I'm fully aware of the front-page content on the right: there are plenty of photos to grab your eye.

Really, really, REALLY hate this thing!!

It's very disruptive to the thread you are reading and causes more annoyance and dislike of mtbr than attracting me to click on the links.

    Make it go away, please!

You will all go away before the advertising does ... That's marketing reality.

These embedded links are pretty obnoxious. Isn't there a better way to do this? Maybe putting it at the top of the site in a banner of some sort? I've never seen a forum put ads right in the middle of a thread like this.

Somehow I find these far more irritating than I can explain. It's actually become one of the major reasons I prefer to use Taptalk, so it's self-defeating.

I know, I've moved towards VITALMTB, PINKBIKE and others...not hitting forums much at all, as others don't compare, but just moving away from it period.

totally agree with the sentiments expressed, sadly no admin has come here to comment good, bad or indifferent.
