We have not updated any software, so that couldn't be the cause.

I was from transactions in the classifieds-years old. There was a rating system, wasn't there?

Actually, the old system (very old) did not have a rating system. The new one does, but ratings have to be done on the current system (which we've had for at least 5 years now).

Before the current system, all we had was the Good Trader/Bad Trader forum. Which still exists, on our sister site: RoadBikeReview.

How do I re-run my ad?

Had a lengthy ad up for a new high end frame & parts. I was looking for a way to renew before it expired, but couldn't find one, so I was hoping the option would appear after it was taken down. Do I have to enter the whole thing again?

We do not promote renewing your ad, because it does NOT get relisted by the new renewal date. It stays buried in the listings by original date.

So, it is much better (and the same price) to list a whole new ad and get back up to the top by date.

Due to the number of ads we receive, we do not have an archive of old ads, once expired.

As long as you are logged in, there is an "edit ad" link in the ad, below where the main image is (or should be). Click on this and you can edit or upgrade your ad.

The grey are "highlighted" ads. They stick out more when viewing the categories.

i accidentally clicked on the "pay with credit card" button instead of the "pay with PayPal" button. when the payment screen loaded i used by back arrow to go back and i selected the PayPal option and completed the ad. however, now i show the listing twice, although one says "this ad has not been paid for yet". how do i remove the one for which i didn not pay?

I'm also getting a blank page when clicking on the "latest ads" link.

Happens on both my work computer (PC running Firefox), my home Mac (also firefox) and my iPhone (Safari).

It's been this way about 3 days....

Under "For Sale" where there should be categories, I'm getting nothing. There are little numbers showing how many ads there are under each category, but no words or links. This happens on firefox and chrome.

We are checking into this problem now. We have gotten several reports of this, but we are unable to replicate the problem.

    Stay tuned.

Recent ads will show both ads with and without photos. If there is no photo, it will show a default "no thumbnail" placeholder image.

You can use Photoshop or any photo editor program to resize it down.

    No pics on ad...

I ran an ad last night, and uploaded the pics, around 100k-200k each pic in size. But no pictures showed up today. I saw your comment* and I will try it in a few hrs, but is there any reason that the pics would not have worked? And how do you get it so that people can click on the picture and supersize it?

    * If you are logged in, and looking at your ad, there is a "edit ad" link below and slightly to the left of where the main image should be. Click on that and it will give you an option to make changes to your ad (like adding images).

    Thanks.

We had a problem with images early yesterday morning, but it was fixed by around 11 am (PST). If you do it now, it should work.

And the new location of the "edit ad" link is under the "Product Options" dropdown. This change happened during the software upgrade about a month ago or so.

If you still need help retrofitting images, LMK.

    Hey Bubbs,

As far as I know, once you have funds in Paypal, they are available instantly.

I did a search for your ads and did not find any, so I take it you've still had no luck?

I checked your account on our end and it's all good. So I'm not entirely sure why you aren't able to post.

I did have one other user with the same problem email me over the weekend, so this may be a growing concern for us.

What OS and browser are you using? If you use a different browser, does it do the same thing?

Be sure to check the "remember me" box when you login and make sure you have cookies enabled in your browser.

I accidently posted my ad under the 29er category becuase that's what i've been shopping for. The bikes i'm selling are not 29er's. When I choose the edit option it won't let me change categories. Do I have any option other than paying another $2 to relist it?

Found your add and moved it to the "Full Suspension Bike" category.

I can't get images to upload. I've placed many ads in the past and have properly sized images, but still no luck. I even tried uploading very small images with no success. I've tried two different browsers with the same result.

edit: It finally worked. Same image files as before, but now they upload fine.
