Gregg I sent you a PM, but if anyone else knows the answer, I just made an ad and it didn't ask me for payment, is the ad free? Can I still post a link in a subforum?

Hello DC, I have deleted the wheels ad at your request. For reference, the option to remove your own ad is under the "Product Options" drop down menu.

    Hey XJaredX,

Sometimes ads get stuck in the payment-pending-queue right as I am approving them for the day (I do this once a day). If you happen to be posting right as I am approving them, it is possible your ad goes live and you aren't charged for it.

    Consider it "on the house".

You may still post a link in a forum (which will be locked on sight, by our mods).

question about getting paid for a bike part. A seller wants to buy it - what's the best way to handle the transaction? I have a pay pal account should I have him pay via that? I don't know the details on how to do that.

    Thanks,
    Joe

I posted an ad three days ago on a Specialized Carve Comp and was immediately charged $2 through PayPal. Still no ad showing and no response yet from email request I sent.

How do you go about renewing an ad that is still in your system without copying and pasting everything from the existing to the new ad? Thank you in advance.

    Hello lwolf1315,

Did your ad get posted? If not, send me a PM and we'll issue you a credit.

Shooter, it is actually better to not renew. It is better to list as a whole new ad, because renewed ads do not go back to the top, by the renewal date like they should.

I'm looking at a shock being sold by someone with zero posts who signed up just to post the classified. How can I know I won't get ripped off?

    hi Styler,

you may post one thread linking to your ad, and it will be locked by one of the mods.

sometimes we don't manage to lock them right away, but we try to do so as fast as we can.

    Hope this helps

posting an add in the classifieds

Link to the New Classifieds is:
Main Index - Buy and Sell and Review Mountain Bikes and Accessories

Some of the new features are:

1.) Registration is the same as the forums (and photo gallery). No more separate usernames and passwords

2.) Better security through a more thorough registration process, seller feedback ratings, and forum reputation/post count as a guide to the user's reliability

3.) You can now use Paypal to pay for your ads

4.) You can utilize Paypal within the ad, for product payment

5.) New Categories! Including 29er bikes, Vintage Bikes, and Vintage parts

6.) You can enter your zip code to see distance of seller to your location

7.) We still have the "Latest Ads Posted" page (aka Daily Market) with RSS feed!

8.) The old "checklist" feature is now known as the "Watch List", to help you mark certain ads to keep track of.

9.) You can post comments directly to the ads

I'm sure there are others, and I will be adding more info to this thread, as is needed.

    Stay tuned.

    Thanks,

    Hey guys,
I'm not sure this is the best place or the best way to get some help placing an add to sell my mountain bike in your classifieds section. So, I logged in, typed all my information in, attempted to post pictures (they were too big) and then when I went to complete the transaction I was told the pictures were too big. Now I've tried to redo the add with modified pictures, but I can't get past the screen that tells me my pictures were too big in the first place. Can anyone help me get past the damnable loop I'm in?
    Thanks for the help,
    Byron

Ok, if I receive any feedback to ad, I will let you know.
I still don't know how to pay it for classifield $2 ad.
I am afraid that my ad will be removed or deleted if I don't find the method to pay for it.
