    Zion SS Build Help

    Hello all,

I am building my first singlespeed, I picked up an XL Zion 660 EBB frame last year and am just now getting around to building it up. I need some advice on the following parts, I don't want to brake the bank but I don't want to buy crappy parts either.

Crankset - I am looking at the following:

    Truvativ Fire X SS - $70
Truvativ Stylo 1.1 GXP with BB - $130
Race Face Ride XC SS - $130

I also need a front fork with 80-100 mm of travel, would prefer air dampening and would like to stay around the $300 price point - looking at the Manitou 7 MRD on closeout at Jenson for $299 - any thoughts on the sitffness since it only has 30 mm stanchions? Any other forks to conside rin this price range?

Also, I was hoping someone could provide the seat post measurement (I thinkit is 27.2mm) and the bottom bracket size (assuming 68 mm).

    Cheers all

If you don't already have a front QR wheel for this build, those closeout Minutes at Jenson with a 20mm axle would be sweet and stiff.

I have no idea about the R7, so I can't say whether it is stiff enough or not
