Why spend that much money on a chain, I hear there good but really. Run a Sram PC48 or 58 8speed chain, if you need to run a narrower chain to go through the tensioner, or one of the sram single speed 1/8 chains if you can use a wider chain. Even a cheap kmc bmx chain will work ok.

    New question here.

On-One advertizes HKK Vertex Track Racer Chain for single-speed and fixie bikes. I did not even know that such chains exists. Are they good or what?

I run a Shadow Conspiracy Interlock BMX chain. Big and burly as they come. Kinda heavy but as a clyde I don't see much of a point in counting grams.

    Forget the heavy chains!

I've been running a KMC X-10 speed chain on one of my racing bikes for half a year now. It is as light as a wipperman titanium, costs around $40, and is working great. We are talking a quarter pound or more of weight savings over the chains mentioned above.
I guess some of you have had problems breaking chains, but it never happens to me (try a more circular pedal stroke?). I'm 160 and I run 175's with a perfectly straight chainline.
It has even been mentioned that a 10 speed chain is stronger than an eight or nine, because the pins are shorter, thus less leverage for breaking them. I also see a huge quality difference between most BMX chains and a state of the art chain like the
    X-10.
This post kind of bucks the norm of people reccomending super heavy chains. Just another perspective. I just won the single speed class on a 12 hour race yesterday with no worries about chain stretch or breakage, and weight saving ideas like this one really helped!

I am wondering too. And why is no one using PC-1s? is there something wrong with this chain?

That's all I use. PC-1's are cheap and work fine.
