    Track end chain length?

How do you find the right chain length for track ends?

Should I push the wheel all the way in, cut the chain as close as possible and then pull the wheel back to get the slack out?

Let me know if this is how its done. Before I put the wheel about mid way and then pulled back but I am having trouble popping a wheelie so want to tuck it in

    Thanks

That's the way I did it on my slider equipped bike.

Pretty much. Make sure you have enough length to derail the chain, so you can remove the wheel.

^^ good point. It's been a while since I had a bike with track ends.

I like to measure that then if your length can handle it, add a link set. This way if I break a chain on the trail I have enough to patch it back together.

Yeah, I cut the chain for mid position and went back from there so I could get the chain off easy. I always use KMCs with the reusable link so I'll probably go all the way in + a link next time.

    Thanks everyone, good tips.
