For those fans of the Sram PC-58.

Normally I would post something like this over in the deals forum, but most of the people I know that use them, run them on their SS. I just ordered one tonight with some other things and it was $9.
Oh yeah, I guess I forgot something. That was from JensonUSA

I too was running the PC-1 until the chain snapped up a steep little climb. The gold connector link was still in there...it just snapped right on one of the links.

Lets me just say that standing while climbing plus a broken chain equals crotch to stem! Not a fun way to end a ride.

Needless to say, I didn't buy another PC-1 when I returned the broken one!

I actually run a KMC Z610HX chain on my SS. Pick them up for about $12 at Aggrobikes and so far has proven to be a good chain for me. I ordered the PC-58 for my geared HT. I have no personal experience with the PC-1, but have always thought it was one of Sram's lower end chains.

how about two chains for 9 bucks.... well you gotta break it into two yourself.

everybit as good as a pc-58.

used them on fixed gear singlespeed and shifty bikes. SUPER_DUPER.

in fact the only reason i am even telling you clownz this is cause i got a shop sponsor now and for team cost i can finally get single chains (almost) this cheap

otherwise i would hoard them all myself....

    Pc-1

The cheaper non-nickle plated version is 100% junk. The nickle plated versions have been going strong for me for over three years.

I have been running the same pc 58 for four summers now. Granted, its stretched out and I am sure I will be walking home from a ride in the near future. I am amazed with its durability, the shimano XT chain I used before the pc 58 lasted half a ride.

There are lots of 8 speed chains out there. This is not a PC-58. There are reasons why the PC-58 is so popular.
