    Surly chainline calculator for 142 X 12?

    Setting up a 2014 Nimble 9 SS.

I've always used the Surly calculator but don't see specs for 142 x 12.

Can I use it? Did I miss it?

I've never heard of this calculator, where is it and what's it for?

I usually set my chainline by measuring the distance from the center of the seat tube to the center of the chainring and then figuring out where the rear cog needs to go to match. So if the chainring is 56mm from the center of the seat tube, the cog needs to be 135/2 - 56 = 11.5mm from the inside of the right drop out. That's for a 135mm QR hub. For a 142mm hub it would be 142/2 - 56= 15mm.

Pretty easy if you can do basic math and can measure stuff. I know that's asking a lot for some people.

I run the 2014 12x142 dropouts on my 2013 N9 (originally 10x135). Chainline stayed the same, just use the 10x135 stuff. I use the same spacers.
