Surely this must be a joke...

http://www.32-16xtremewear.com/

Xtreme wear? For singlespeeders? Dear god when is someone going to end this mind numbing, stupid "XTREME 2 THA MAXXX" marketing crap? And who buys this stuff and allows these companies to survive? Even Jello has gone "Xtreme".

...not to mention diamond plate!

Computer images pasted onto a photo of a t-shirt is real attractive, too.

I think I will sell white shirts with "It's a bike" scrawled across it with a Sharpie. I'll get rich!

None of the above. The domain owner is in Riverside (looked it up). I'll let him remain anonymous, if he can make a buck I'll be surprised.

I ran a check and his domain is listed as "expiring" by one source, so yeah, no surprise there I guess.

What a bunch of hosers. I ride a 34x16. Does that mean that I am just a tad bit too ExTrEmE to wear their rad duds?

road

So, if I ride a 46/16 on the road, I am not extreme?

Remember that one band, Extreme? "More than words" is a song I danced to in my senior prom with a fat chick. My luck.

Saying I love you
Is not the words I want to hear from you
It's not that I want you
Not to say, but if you only knew
How easy it would be to show me how you feel
More than words is all you have to do to make it real
Then you wouldn't have to say that you love me
Cos I'd already know

They should also sell a line of eXXXtreme condoms, because they seeeeem to be SO EXXXTREME!!! WHOA DOOD! that's so eXtreme!

Like, when I ride to work, I trails ride by jumping on mail boxes? Syeah! dood! I-ROC!
I like, drink 12 Red Bulls to be eXtreme?

The nerve

The nerve of those guys taking up space in my "Single Speed" search on Ebay. Now if they were "Singlespeed" T shirts, they might be ok.

Related Singlespeed Story:

I got beat by a messenger at a recent USGP cyclocross race in NJ. We were in the SS class of course and while I usually do not come in top 5 on the SS, I did come in second that day. The 1st and 3rd place guys were wearing white t shirts with something scribbled on them with a black sharpie. Those guys were totally cool and made me feel like a wanker with my team gear.
Thanks to www.weavercycleworks.com for my awesome bike frames!

Now I've seen this stuff twice today

I saw this stuff via a link in a message on another thread, posted by a new member (Jan 2005) who's apparently connected with this endeavor. What's the harm in trying to sell a few shirts? One or two are halfway cool. I just hope for his sake he is not out spending all the money he thinks he will make. More than one person has a garage full of $15 shirts that they need to sell for $20 + shippping to break even.

Here's the link from the other thread, it may actually be of some interest to SoCal guys, for event info if not the swag. www.socalsinglespeedchampionships.com.

I like this part.

"So if your into board sports, wheeled sports, the night life or the great outdoors. We got
you covered."

"Your"? And nice sentence construction.

Silly bunts.
