    Spend my $15!

I recently sold one of my squishy cat toys and now have $15 to play with. I have an aluminum SS but would like to dive into something realy nice. It's not often I have bike money like this to play with free and clear. I have most of the parts I need so I can throw all of the money into a chain or maybe a chain and a grip.

Considerations right now are Shimano steel, SRAM steel or KMC steel. I could go with a ti Dean sticker or cheaper steel sticker and have money left over for a spork and King headset top cap.

    What do you think?

If you can wait two months, there will be less expensive carbon options coming out this fall.

Another two bucks will get you a subscription to Dirt Rag, but the beer might be nicer in the short run.

Is "pork skins" new code for condoms?

    Harriwood,

I'm currently stuck in the Pentax LBA (Lens Buyers Anonymous or Addicted) club....so, if'n I had fifteen bucks, I'd peruse Ebay for some nice old NOS Pentax M lenses!

Bought three this week....there goes the bike budget. AND......Curtis Inglis just emailed me. My wife's Retrotec is done in three mas weeks!!

Can I borrow eight hundred?? Pleez.

A Dean sticker would be great, but they will tell you 6-8 weeks and it will take more like 9 months. They will tell you all kinds of stuff, too- the dies are cut, it's at the printer, etc.

WOW!!! A whole whopping fifteen bucks?!! SWEEETTT!!!

That'll buy you something like one pint of lager here in NYC! Ask the bar wench nicely and you might even get one of those cardboard coasters to put your glass on!

    Did the cat get squished?

If so, you need a spork and a Hello Kitty shower cap!

    I'll play

I like the beer suggestions. Maybe a case of PBR and two bags of pork rinds?

    Sounds like beer...

How about three bottles of Samiclaus!?
Do a long hard ride, maybe that stupid WS ride in February, down one Samiclaus and try to remember something.
    Mmm!

    Go for the spork.

For true, high-performance sporking you gotta go with Ti though: http://tinyurl.com/6q3p6

Might even have enough left over for a beer.

    Good job! $15 ride report!

well I took y'alls advice and went for beer and pork skins. The Sierra Nevadas were more challenging than I thought they'd be but got smoother the longer I stayed on them. By the end I was out of breath and my head was spinning. Good times.

Here my bro John hooks me up with what the doctor(s) ordered

Good news and bad news. First the bad - unfortunately they only had six'ers, so I'll have to upgrade to a 12 pack later. The good news is that I had enough cash leftover to score the latest Juggs mag and a box of condoms!

Do I know how to party or what? Y'all come out to L.A....this is how we kick it, alley style.

God it's gonna be a great night...I can feel it.

EDIT: scratch that, these things are huge. It's like when I tried my dad's sportcoat on as a kid. I'm taking my beer buzz to bed, watching The Daily Show and calling it a NIGHT! Thanks again for your help.

I can see I'm too late to give you the key to financial freedom, but next time you amass a small fortune like 15 american dollars, I highly recommend you invest the whole wad into scratch off lottery tickets. Next thing you know you'll be sitting on a beach in Hawaii.

I didn't see that coming. I'm sitting here with a spliting side ache. My laughing woke my non-morning wife. Very nice. You are the man.
