Single Speed Race Report: Tahoe-Sierra 100 MTB Race

Had a good race on the SS recently at the Tahoe-Sierra 100 MTB race in NorCal. Final stats were about 103 miles and close to 15,000 feet of climbing. Lot's of downhill and lots of insane uphill that had EVERYONE hiking (SS'ers and geared guys).

Tinker Juarez, at 51 years old, won the whole thing. I got 1st in Pro SS and 10th Overall.

Race report with pics of the terrain / scenery here:

Congrats. I only wish i had the legs, lungs, and heart for a century. Tinker gives me hope to that i can work hard the next 10 years and still be able to ride the epics.

    What gear were you running?

    Thanks. I ran a 34x22.

Tinker only had 1 water bottle with him on the start line. Nearly every other Pro in his class had 2 + some sort of hydration pack. Word from the aid stations were that he didnt even stop at a few of them to refuel it.
