    Shaving grams and mating hubs

Hi Guys, I want to tap into the pool of knowledge that is the SS forum and see if any you guys have a suggestion for loosing some grams on my wheels.

I am looking at changing my bike and that means the rear wheel will be going from 135mm x 10mm to the newer 142mm x 12mm format.

Currently I run 32 spoke enves on Chris King hubs.

I'd like to shave some grams off my wheels. So I am looking at getting 28 spoke enves (a friend of mine is happy to buy my old hoops). Therefore what hubs to mate them with is the question?

Is there a lighter hub option that I can look at here? Reliable and yet lighter than the Chris Kings. I thought DTs for a moment, even though they have lower engagement, but I don't think they have a 142x12 SS hub.

    Any suggestions guys?

    Thank you W

There is a 142 x 12 conversion kit available (http://www.wheelbuilder.com/dt-swiss...rsion-kit.html). I'm not sure the ss-specific 240s accept all of the conversion kits but my LBS tells me its doable. A call to DT should clear it up.

May want to look into industry 9 also, though I'm not sure their lighter torch hubs are available by themselves yet.
Yeah I only carry cans cause I'm a weight weenie.
