Seven Cycles Custom Stems (X-Post from Custom Builders)

Does anyone have any experience with the Seven Cycles four bolt stems? I am in the finishing stages of my MC SS conversion and want a new stem to compliment the Jones H-Bar. Jeff recommends a stem with a four bolt faceplate. I know the Thomson is a tried and true choice, but since i have spared little or no expense to build this SS up, why not go all the way! They will build stems in three different stiffnesses, so I could order an S3 (clydesdale) style and get something really stiff.

I just had a seven 29er built and got a custom ti stem-as with all of their stuff it is very nice as it should be for the price-you really can't go wrong since they will do full custom but Just make sure you know the length and rise that you want before you order-

$350 for a stem? that's going all the way, all right. I would be 350% sure I got the length and rise correct! I which stiffness S1-S3 corresponds to a Thomson? That might be something to ask them

I have an S2 90mm x 6 that I got from my lbs, that they had ordered for a guy who decided it was the wrong size. It just so happenes that the size was perfect for me, so I got it brand new for $225. It is a huge purchase, so make sure you get the right size. The stem seems really nice, but I would have a hard time paying full price. It's only a stem and a stems job is not that difficult. Although I did buy one because they are so damn pretty.
