    PowerTap or Milk Money

For next years race season, I have a choice between:

    1. A PowerTap SL+ with a new set of race wheels for my current Felt Nine Solo.
    Or
    2. Or a new set of decent wheels (no PowerTap) and a Milk Money.

I'm not opposed to a coach, but I'm familiar with PowerTap Training (I use to have one on my road bike). I would love the FS for 12-12hr SS racing. I have been mulling over this for the last 9 months since I can't race this season (in Afghanistan from Feb '10 to Feb '11).

What would the MTBR SS'ers do?

My Milk Money is, without a doubt, the absolutely most fun bike I've ever owned.

Say you got the PowerTap and trained with it. Would your race results from the new training program result in prize money or sponsorships? Or would it just be bragging rights? Could you achieve the same results with a different non-PowerTap assisted training program?

I'm with 12snap -- buy the bike. If you need training feedback or guidance, are you working with a coach? If not, I'd start with a bike/coach combo.

Stay safe and get back home.

Thanks everyone! I am really starting to lean towards the MM. I think I will get a lot more enjoyment out of it compared to a training device.

MM for sure. I think powertap would be pointless

    Thank you for your service.
