Just thought it would be good to have a thread full of rides to look at. The orange one is my Teesdale SS and the brown one is my $7, mid 70s JCPennys "Slightweight" SS. Shes my bar hoppin bike cause if it gets stolen its no big loss. All though it is in excellent shape.

I gotta get me a bar hoppin' bike. No gears or brakes on that one to get confused with on the ride home :D

We did have a thread full of photos round here but it's not seen much action for a few days. Here ya go: http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=375 You could always post yer porn in there and bump it back to the top

they are truly a great concept [townie just seems too gay...not that there is anything wrong with that....]. I plan to sell my current bar bike in the spring - figgered a case of beer would be the asking price.
:p
A case of beer? Hell, I'll give you two. Here is my bar bike, with my "real" SS in the background.

Yes, townie does sound gay and yes there is something wrong with things that are gay. If there wasn't they wouldn't be gay.

is that horizontal dropouts on your s-works?? I assume you had them welded on, right?

Here is a pic of my s-works
Not welded on though. They way i understand it Specialized made a few, 5 i believe, SS frames a few years back especially for team members. This is one of them. Its pretty sweet- no cable guides for der. and a special message on the bottom of the bb.

retrotec revisited.

My retrotec is going from 27 lbs to 22 lbs... cause I'm bored!! I took out my fox fork cause it's time to cruise on the rigid. Also the brooks saddle had a tussle with my privates so it's sidelined for now. Notice that new carbon rail saddle!!

The profile cranks might have to go since they weigh 16 lbs. I'm a little bummed about that. I'm kind changing the look and feel of the bike but I'm really curious how fast this bike can go on light spec.

again. Converted the KM back from a fixie to its (slightly modified) original incarnation as an MTB SS. Had to hobble my Isis to do it, since I needed a front disc brake--no big deal since the Isis has seen dirt about 2 times in the last year.

Built up just in time for the craptastic weather as my snow rider. 29 tires really grip!

Trial run is tomorrow, unless the trails are just one huge slab of ice--my first time running a flat bar. Thinking of taking this to Westminster (MD) Sunday for the post-swap ride.

The KM...

Here's the rest of my SS line-up...

The Inbred (now has a front disc brake)...

Hard work pays off

where did you get the bike?
From Mr. Don Ferris of Anvil. But he got a little behind on schedule for this custom build and I wasn't pushing him since I won it in a raffle based on trail maintenance hours in my local MTB club.
