The pieces are coming together. Some pics.

I have the new frame (Edge Cycles SS) and now I have new wheels (DT Swiss rims, hubs, spokes), now I need to decide on a new rigid fork (leaning towards an easy to acquire Ritchey) so I can send it away to be painted.

    Frame and wheels basic style:

Makes for some interesting effects. Wonder if I can load a program for Monet, Picasso, or Van Gogh?

    what rims are they?

What rims and hubs are they? I'm trying to decide between mavic 317/717 rims and the DT disc rims for my new SS. Have you used those DT rims before?

    Thanks,

Akk! Don't touch that frame, it's beautiful! Seriously, I don't know how set you are on painting, but if it were me (and obviously it's not) I'd clear coat/rust-saver that puppy and be done with it!

These are my first set of DT's and I'm pretty excited about them. They are the XR 4.1 and have the 240s hubs (ss rear, of course). I haven't ridden them before but the folks that I know that have are very pleased, and also much heavier than I, so I'm thinking the durability factor is excellent.

I'll be in Sedona a week from today, with all the freaks!

The 1x1 has it's eye on another rider, a certain 12 year old. I couldn't stand they way they oogled each other, so I had to do something about it. The Paul hubs were replaced with a Chris King wheelset a while back when the bearings failed. We're planning on selling the Chris Kings and rebuilding the Paul hubs.

You'll be able to visit both bikes at the FFTF. Say "hi" to the Donut Queen and derby Cheever if you see him before I do.

We already have an unpainted FOCO frame in the family, so she'll get painted.

Have fun and keep an eye on the weather, Northern AZ has been getting pounded by the recent storms. Some trails near Oak Creek may be in pretty bad shape.

So Buddha Beach will be dry, right?

Well aware of the situation and plan on staying dry. I'll only be there one night before going down to Pa-Ho-Nix.

I figured you'd know about that, but wanted to pass along the info. Gonna hit South Mtn when in the Valley?
