I'm brand new to the world of SS (not including the years of bmx riding in my past).
Using a Scott Peak cro-mo frame (20") I'm 6'
Kinesis Aluminum Forks
EA70 Bar & Stem
Going to run 38x20. I have no idea how this will feel.
I already have a Surly ss rear hub, and a WTB FX front hub. I'll be building them up with Syncros Lil' Snapper rims I got off ebay, and DT Comp spokes. Nashbar has a deal on them now. I build my own wheels, so it makes it cheap but reliable.
Using Tektro Mag Talon levers, and bar tape instead of grips (not in pic). Reason being is that this rig is mainly for bike polo. The brakes will be swapped (euro), and levers VERY close to the center.
Anyone have any experience with Lil' Snapper rims? Good, bad, indifferent?
Most of the parts were off ebay.
Here's an "in-progress" pic.
