New Mary SS - Did I make the right choice?

I just got back from the maiden voyage of my new Mary SS.

I've never ridden a mountain bike before and needless to say I am soooo sore. It was a heck of a ride. I enjoyed it but just couldn't make it very far before getting really tired.

Was a SS the right choice for a new rider or should I have gotten something a bit more forgiving?

SS'ing isn't the easiest of things to do. But it can be very rewarding. I say ease into it, and don't worry about your choice. You'll get better, and have more fun. You made a fine choice. Congrats!

Once you start to get in "SS shape" you will learn to appreciate the simplicity of the ride. Less thinking and more enjoying.

If you enjoyed it, you made the right choice.

The important part is that you enjoyed it; the endurance will come later. Mighty fine choice if you ask me.
