Need pics and opinions - color scheme for build

Picked up a brand new Kona Big Unit frame in the Rootbeer Brown color (in love) and have spent at least a week arguing with myself on the components color. Help. Will be mostly black, but want to do the hubs, crank and headset in something different. Either pimp style gold or subdued pewter/gunmetal. Anyone have any pics of brown bikes with either of those setups?

    Thanks./

cant go wrong with black, but i think green would look good on root beer too.

I can't bring myself to do green. I'm really leaning towards the gold (pretty orangish). Really want to see a pic of that combo though. Somebody here has it I know.

Something to consider...green, gold, red, blue, whatever, nobody's green is the same, red, blue, whatever. Stick a "gold" Race Face bar next to a "gold" Loaded stem or a "gold" Salsa seat post collar or a "gold" Straitline bash ring. More often than not they are more than just a tiny color value difference.

If it is only going to be a couple of colored bits that aren't close to each other it isn't so bad, but unless you are going with all Race Face, Loaded, Answer, ODI, whatever brands' parts exclusively...EXPECT to have many variations of green or gold or red or blue, etc. Been there and did it. Now I just use a few varied pieces per bike and it works for me. Of course black is always black.

May or may not be a big deal to you. Just something to consider...

It's 2010 Kona Unit (from Cycle Snack), it's dark green, but it's dark enough to pretend it's brown.

    I also like black/red combo.

It's not for everyone but I did white on my SS Rock Hopper Expert and color is called root beer satin by Specialized. White is a pretty consistent color value between manufacturers too.

Pewter would give it a cool look as well.
