    Need frame suggestion

I need a new frame & I'm not sure who makes what I'm looking for. This is what I want:

    - Steel
    - geometry tending toward the AM/FR side. It'll take a 5" fork.
    - SS-specific or AC/DC
    - inexpensive
    - 26er

Something like a On-One 456 w/ horizontal drops would be perfect. I already have an Inbred, so I don't want another.

    Anyone have any killer ideas?

    - TIA

Haha, I was going to say inbred before I read the next sentence.

What about an Evil Sovereign and a 6" fork? I've heard these are awesome

Transition TransAM also looks good. I'm not sold on a fully integrated headset though

I should be more clear on "inexpensive". I'd like to staybelow $300-350 or so. Used is fine. The Sovereign & TransAm look like good choices, but more than I want to spend.

The Sakura isn't SS. Chromag's only SS frame is a DJ.

Find a used, unsure if they are still in production, Mountain Cycle rumble. You can run them single speed, I know MC sells the dropouts if needed and they are burly as all get up.

Not sure if it is steel, but that is a tall order when the answer is On-One and you have already done that.

I'm probably missing the point, but if you have the inbred, you have this sort of bike already covered. Soul Cycles has the Icon, but is around 500 and not steel. Origin8 might have a bike too, but I don't know what is called or where you might find it. Surly Instigator?

Guess you gotta hope for ebay!

It's for my kid. He doesn't want the same bike as dad.
