    My First Build

Well, I got a 2005 Brodie Omega frame that was on clear out and decided ti build up a XC that I could do a little but if racing on.
It's about 98% done, I just need to get a chain, pedals and cables for the brakes. I'm trying to decide between Eggbeater SL' s or Candy SL' s. Any suggestions?
The ratio I'll be running will be 34/18 or something around there.
I'll probably upgrade parts (Thomson stem&Seat post, saddle, wheels) in the future so these spec's might change over time.

    Specs:

    RockShox Reba Race
    Mavic 321 rims
    Deore hubs
    Avid BB7s (185mm/160mm, f/r respectively)
    Avid FR-5 brake levers
Race Face Deus XC Cranks with an X-Type BB
Race Face Deus XC Low riser handlebar
    Carbon Stem spacers
    Race Face Ride seat post
Bontrager stem I scrounged from work
    Bontrager Race Lite bottle cage
Bontrager saddle I had laying around
    Crank Bros Cobalt headset
    Kenda Nevegals f/r
    ODI Lock on grips
Shimano Alfine Tensioner (the frame has vertical dropouts)
    DMR SS Conversion Kit

    Pictures to follow...

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll probably get Eggbeaters so it'll look cleaner/simpler and so I wont have to worry about the platform getting scratched up.

I got the Alfine because it was super cheap and because I'll probably get something better in the future, so it's fine for now.
