    mixing PC48/58/68 SRAM chains

Over the past few years and numerous SS's I've got enough unused peices of SRAM chains to make a full chain. PC 48/58/68...can I mix these...what's the deal here?

Sure you can mix, the difference is only the finish or little cutouts... BUT, I would not piece together a full chain from a bunch of little bits. Proceed at your own risk.

I, too, have done this. The SRAM quick-links are pretty sweet for this. But, yeah, proceed with caution. A new PC-48 is usually $10-$12, no?

As far as I know, their dimensions are the same and the PowerLinks are identical. If you've got enough spare PowerLinks lying around to do it, why not? Might look cool. Post a picture when you're done.
