I have nothing constructive to add other than "Crumpled nut tug" sounds like an entry from Urban Dictionary

Nope, I checked lol
I do suppose we could add it though... Perhaps something like when your sack gets caught on the front of your saddle as you are getting your weight back and you wind up curled up in the middle of the trail immobile for ten minutes...

Hahahaha...
Any other ideas about what a crumpled tug nut could be? Singlespeed-inclusive definitions would be teh funny.

Cowardly neg repper..."no one likes you"....guess what, you are a pvssy and an idiot.

All I can say is that I ordered two chainrings (separate orders) and received two chainrings (and sent all the way to the Isle of Man), which I'm more than happy with. Lead time was more than I would have liked but it wasn't a life or death matter so I didn't get my knickers in a twist over it. Life goes on (hopefully) ...........

It's a well known fact that crumpled nut tug is a reknowned phrase used by dh'ers in regards to xc racer types bombing steeps without dropping their saddle only to find they fold like a lawn chair weeping tears of pain when they hook their junk on the back of the saddle.

So, I'm not usually one to post like this, but I think I'm out of options short of a chargeback. Placed order 3/15/12, still no chainring or email reply from HBC.
$42

March 22 2012 order $177
June 12 2012 order $122
HBC + $299
AKxc -$299
two emails sent, and as expected no reply...it's a shame too, HBC has wonderful products! I don't mind waiting for a BA product, but MARCH(?!?) come on man!...

OK, I hae to ask. Why do people still order from them if their CS is this bad? Not trying to be a smart a$$, just curious.

To be honest, (HBC's) rings and cogs are a work of art...I've made several orders in the past, and have had to wait, but never this long...hopefully my crap gets to me soon!
