    This just in... (MBA)

Singlespeeders are 'other riders', grouped with Burro and tandem riders. Sq. taper is reserved for those who 'ride lightly', ISIS for those who demand 'superior' product, and factory-built wheels are the best. See complete wheel-builder's rant over in wheelbuilding, or grab an issue for yourself!

I'm going to go ride my other, Hard-to-Define bike.

I'll take Dirt Rag and BIKE any day over MBA (Mountain Bike Advertising).

I must be a light rider at 215#. I had the same sqr taper UN91 BB for 7 years in three different bikes, I finally sold it with a complete bike, as far as I know it is still going strong, I can't say that for any ISIS that has been reported here on the board (I know that they haven't been out 7 years). I think that I only bought a Mountain Bike Fiction a few times, and usually at the airport to avoid all of the doom and gloom reported by the American media. I would put any of my handbuilt wheels up against a factory bulit wheel, I would especially put up any of 32seventeen's wheels up against them (he taught me). The only reason to have MBA is in case you run out of TP camping. Now, Singletrack out of the UK, along with DirtRag, and occasionally BIKE, those are good mags.

If I couldn't "read" MBA in the grocery newstand for free, I wouldn't look at it at all. Ok, I don't actually "read" it. I open it up, flip through some pages, say "Feh." And put it back.

When will Number Five be alive? There are those of us that check it once in a while, I think you would give a lot of people heart attacks. You have a good excuse though, riding. Keep up the good work, when you get around to it.
