    JERICHO EBB QUESTION! I'm stuck

I recently purchased a 2002-3 Leadfoot. I am having difficulty adjusting the EBB. I have a couple of questions....

    1) How easy is the eccentric supposed to turn? Mine takes a ton of torque to get it to move. I have to pull off my left crank arm and use my Park tool BBT-2 to get it to turn.

    2) Can I buy a new eccentric? How much are they? Where?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Take it out, clean it up, remove any burrs from the BB shell, grease it up and it should be fine. They tend to get a bit sticky if they're not moved for a while.

Is your Jerry a Bushnell EBB or is it a set screw jericho model?

The bushnell will turn with a spanner or a small screwdriver. If it's the old style, make sure the shell and the eccentric are cleaned and lubed and the set screws are loose (obviously). They're a tapered press fit and require quite a bit of mallet persuasion to get in there. My old Jerry took some serious effort to get the eccentric moving.

Not sure which EBB it is.....it has the two set screws on the top of the BB shell. You say "serious effort". Can you expand on that. Mine takes a lot of persuasion.

So, it is okay to use an fine emery cloth to the shel (steel) and the EBB (aluminum)?
