    If possible a belt drive system on a cannondale scalpel 2006?

    I am looking for a new update on my 2006 cannondale scalpel.
    First of all, I am Ramon from Spain and I would like to know if that if possible.

    I would reply, unfortunately no...I am unaware of anyone successfully utilizing a belt system on a suspended frame. It would suffer from numerous tension and alignment problems involved with a suspension system on a frame. Perhaps some different upgrades might make you a happy guy, but a belt drive will not.

    Thank you , i will try it whit alfine and chain.

    Going to have the same problem as a belt drive. The chainstay virtual length will increase as the suspension compresses, therefore making the chain too short. Unless you run the alfine with some sort of spring loaded tensioner it's not going to end well.

    Thank you, I am going to install also the surly chain tensioner .
