How to take apart this freewheel?

    First time trying this......

I have a chain whip and the spanner in place.

Won't budge. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks.

Maybe nothing, the spanner is tough. I have taken these apart before, but its been a long time. There are lots of tiny ball bearings inside these and dissasembly meant destruction in my experience. Have you tried using the installation tool with the spanner instead of the chainwhip?

    Haven't tried that.

I just want to lube the internals.

Hmmm, maybe I'll just keep dripping chain lube in the crack.

turn clockwise to loosen. and yeah, like what he said, good luck putting it back together.

if you plan on just greasing it, do not remove the dust seal all the way out. just good enough gap to squeeze some grease in.
everything sucks but my vacuum cleaner.
