How not to sell a bike

    From our own classified.

    http://classifieds.mtbr.com/cgi-bin/...uery=retrieval

    Note to seller:

Rule 1 - Never offend the prospective buyers.

    Rule 2 - See rule 1

Nice of you to run an auction and state up front you may not sell it at the end.

I am not sure if it is better to steer clear of this bike or better yet, set up a fake Ebay ID and run the price way up, and then disappear at the end.

Yeah, yeah, the ad is funny, but get a life.
Thanks to www.weavercycleworks.com for my awesome bike frames!

    What????

That's not even a SS! What is this guys problem? It definitely has more gears than wheels, and therefore does not fit the SS category! Be afraid, be very afraid.

    Classic

Maybe the guy doesn't know how to shift. Or he confuses fully rigid with singlespeed.
Nobody cares what kind of bike you ride.

Funny thing is, this 'ignominious ball of dung' lives about 5 miles from me.

Read the ebay auction. It's a riot. "...take the cash or go with the Mystery Box?". Too funny. The over-the-top sarcasm reminds me of bofh. Required reading for old-school sysadmin types out there.

It was probably his comment about sending 4oz of his manchowder through the mail that got it pulled. Too bad. It was funny.
