    Help - crankset for clyde

Ok I have the last bits and pieces to build my rigid On One Scandal 29er up as SS. But I am not sure on the cranks.

I was thinking about these (OK for a Clyde?).
Race Face Evolve SS Cranks 2012 Oe > Components > Drivetrain > Cranksets | Jenson USA Online Bike Shop

Any reason those wont work on my Scandal frame? I think it's an 08' if that makes a difference. I have an external BB on there, but looks like it comes with a new one.

    Should be fine.

I run raceface cranks on my ss and love them.

I'm pretty sure most cranks will work for most clydes.
I've been finding that I'm hard on external Bottom Brackets, though. I have a feeling that the "Downhill" BBs that I have on my bikes now bikes are lasting longer than "regular" ones.

That was the original plan. I ordered a spiderless ring a year ago. Still waiting for it to arrive...lol...just haven't taken the time to find a different option.

Alright finally pulled the trigger and ordered the last parts I need.

Once I finally get this thing put together we'll see how it goes. It might be for sale on the classifieds in a few weeks! Hopefully it will be fun to ride eventually! For now ill be riding it by myself in secret ;-)

    Back in Black!

Well, it's finally put together. I'm sure I spent as much on tools as if I'd have had the shop put it together, but in the long run I'll be glad I'm learning how to do this. I rebuilt a Jeep from the frame up, not sure why a bike still seems hard! Need to shorten the rear brake line, bought the Park tool cutter today, just need to learn how to use it now. Also need to set up the wheels tubeless, they didn't want to seal for some reason the other night so I threw tubes in.

Hope I don't hate this bike now! I have fond memories of it as a 2x9. Guess we'll see what this SS thing is all about. Starting out 32x20 on advice of others in this area.
