    27" because it's comfortable and stable for me. I just matched the handlebar and stem length from my geared bike when I was building my SS.

    I'm running Niner Flat Top Carbon bars on both my bikes.

    710mm is plenty wide for me.

    750mm (29.5")

    Started with 711mm on geared bike, and 725mm on SS, now both have 750s and short stems!

    I am running 710mm right now. I could go wider and have ridden wider but the 710 is just enough to be able to get through the tight spots while still getting good comfortable leverage on the climbs. I came from some super narrow bars last fall and have not looked back since.

    Just ordered a 780mm bar! We'll see how it is. Worse case I cut them down....

    running 710 Ti groovy luvs on my rigid jabber w/ a 100mm stem.

    i'm 6'3" and feel like i'm in a very neutral position for both handling and climbing.

    there are a few tight spots on my local trails for that wide of a bar, but nothing that'd make me consider chopping them down.

    I have just tried 780mm bars on my FS, but plan to reduce them to 740mm? (too wide as there are too many trees on my singletracks

    & 710mm (stock) on the SS Unit which is fine.

    Normally 700-710 on mine. Just put a 750 on my fs. Thinking I may put them on my SS to try but thinking I may cut them down 20-25mm on each side later. They're feeling abit wide....
    Wait,who did he tell you that?....

    I run 710 and every time I buy a new bar I find myself adding width. I mostly ride desert here in Vegas but find that the increased width really helps with the leverage and comfort.

    As I just wrote in my wide bar overkill post--I am now running a 700mm low riser bar. Shortened the stem by 10mm, and that made it super. If you end up being the least bit too stretched out on SS, you really suffer on the rocky terrain.

    Went from 580mm (90's!) -> 620mm -> 685mm -> 800mm -> 710mm/660mm

    The high-600's to ~700mm seems to be the spot for me. Not a lot of trees around here, so clipping is not that big of a concern. Love my Niner Flat Top.

    Got it narrowed down to Ritchey carbon WCS or Thomson carbon. Anyone have history, knowledge of either of these? Both a little over 700mm & I think I am in the 690-700 range ideally.
