    First ride on a Knard!

Last weekend this bike was setup 1x9 with a Reba and 2.4/2.25 Racing Ralphs for a 50 mile xc race.

This week I decided to relax a bit and switch to rigid SS with a Knard/2.4 Ardent.

Trail was a mix of sand and technical rocks. I loved the semi-fat front! I ran ~15psi in the knard and 20psi in the ardent.

I think I'll leave the bike setup like this for now.

lol. Much cushier than ardent. My Knard is the 120tpi version and the sidewall is very plush. Yes, they were a bit squirmy, but I expected some squirm due to the rim width (surly specs a 50mm rim, mine is mounted on a 28mm ztr Flow).

Much faster rolling than I expected, definitely faster than the ardent.

I am riding a 27tpi Knard and 15 psi was way too much. Rides nice at 10psi.

Wow. I didn't expect it to work on smaller than 35mm rim. Maybe i will try it on my Dual Duty FR rim.

The 120tpi tire has a really soft sidewall. 10psi would be rim ding city.

Awesome! I have a flow wheelset I've been wanting to try this with, definitely be watching to see how you like it as you log more miles.
Yeah I only carry cans cause I'm a weight weenie.
