    First Build!

This is my new 2012 Redline Conquest Pro SS! The frame was a Christmas present that didn't arrive until last week, by which time I had already ordered ninety percent of the components. Unfortunately still waiting on a cable drop hanger for the fork before I can cable the front brake and wrap the bars, but she got out this weekend and saw some dirty mudder action up close and personal. I don't know if the people at Redline have ever watched an episode of Firefly, but I gotta tell ya, having the word "mudder" stamped on the frame makes me almost as happy as actually riding it.

That bike is awesome. Did you just wrap cans around the frame, or what?

Great Redline! I just sold (well traded) my SS cross bike because it was slowly turning into a MTB/29er. It was a lot of fun, and fast on the roads to the trail, but in the end it wasn't the right tool for dropping stairs and hitting the jumps on the trail. Have fun with that thing!!

No, they are bottle labels and I tore each one off, roughly 80 bottles worth. I then used an acrylic gel medium to glue them down and seal them in. After, I applied about 5 layers of clear coat. As far as I know, its still holding up for him!

Thanks for the ride down fixedgeargallery lane. Really brings back the memories.

Kewl Redline. You'll like it more when you can put the stoppers on the front.

She's got a Surly flip/flop hub built on a Mavic CXP33 wheel. Soma 18 tooth track cog with matching lockring and 20 tooth ACS freewheel on the other side. I rode for about twenty minutes free before flipping it. And sheepo, I did really enjoy the limited cxperience I had and this bike is a cream dream. I'm planning on doing a century here in May and my goal is to do it fixed.
