The Eternal Question
How many points of engagement would you say a standard fixed cog has? One? Infinite? Something else? What about for a bolt-on cog, like a TomiCog? Six points of engagement?

Fixed is never disengaged, so the question does not apply.

Sparty's answer is right, but if you want to push...the drive is engaged at every point ( and all the points between those points) so "infinate"POE or "B" on the multiple choice test.
Where the question breaks down is that nobody is realy hung up about POE while riding, it's minimizing degrees of crank rotation between engagement points that really matters . On the fixie the only play you might get at the cranks is from a loose chain.

For the fixed equivalent of a coasting bike the POE is based on the chain tension. It could be calculated based on how far many degrees the cranks rotate from tensioned backpedal to tensioned forward and the gear ratio. You could simplify the calculation be measuring the wheel's degrees of movements between the two tensioned states.
