    EBB standard

Is there a standard in EBB diameters? I am planning to build a SS frame next spring. While shopping for frame parts I saw several sizes (54 and 57 mm dia these being Haden and Everest). Since I want to be able to try something new later on (or when I kill my EBB) I need to have uniformity in sizing.
If there is not a standard, what is the most commonly used size?

No "standard". I do not know what the sizes used are. I do know that the Bushnell Is different than most (or all) of the EBBs that use pinch bolts or set screws. I do not know the size of the C'dale expanding EBB either.

My preference is the pinch bolt type (works best on a steel frame). Dead simple and it works. As long as the insert gives enough throw (~1/2") it works and should never need replacing. Phil Wood makes a great one and will do custom sizes, too.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common

If there is a standard this would be the closest.

    Standard Eccentric Body 68mm x 2.142” OD
