    Does Singlespeed make you Svelte?

;or does the beer and Mexican food cancel any positive affect?

No. I'm a light-heavyweight... I'd have to eat nothing and lose all my muscle to be svelte.

    My Big Gut

is an advantage when standing....more weight on the pedals. That's why Sumo wrestlers are bad ass singlespeeders!

It makes my soul aroused.. makes bad dreams good, and turns wine into coffee.

If you ever followed behind a SS woman you wouldn't have to ask that question.

The guys have too many gross habits that counterbalance the good effects
As little bike as possible, as silent as possible.

It can. But without discipline, it's not necessarily a factor.

Not sure I'm any more svelte(spelling?) but I definitely am closer to growing a beard since riding single speed.

I've also noticed a larger, toned, ego as well.

After riding single speed I have the figure of Rosie O'Donnell. Sort of husky.

I'm with most others. I find I can or I must eat more riding SS. Beer and wine cravings are up!

I lose weight when I road ride. Commuting into work at recovery pace really does it for me.
    Just get out and ride!
