I just picked up a surly singleator chain tensioner and I have the option to run it as push up or push down. What are the benefits of each? Is it worth disassembling it to run it as push up?
Using a singleator, you also have the ability to throw zip ties on there to keep it real tight. that is if your runnning it as a push up tensioner. not pretty, but works wonders.
I think people worry about this too much. I had mine pushing down and never had any issue with it.
