    cetering chainring

Last week when I was riding one or two of the bolts that hold my chainring on broke loose and the chainring bent. So I finally got my new chairing and and bolt and am putting it together. There is slop on the bolts, so the chainring can move off center. How can I make sure I get it in the center, so the chain tension is equal all the way around?

Do you have it on backwards? The recessed side should be out so the bolt head recesses into it.
    Just a thought.
