Brake question for my conversion project

I am converting my old Specialized frame into an SS and during the sanding/painting stage I came across an issue I wanted to get some feedback on. The frame was originally setup for canti brakes. Well the old brakes are indeed old and need to be replaced. I have a set of Vs that I was going to install and realized that the cable stops are not set up for Vs. So I began to ponder my options. I know that they sell bolt on cable stops so I could install one and go that way. I have also been toying with the idea of running full housing. Are there any other options?

    Thanks

Do you have pics ? Canti brakes only need a final cable stop attached solidly to the frame where the cable will get its pull from. When switching to Vs all you have to do is bypass that because the stop is directly on one of the arms.

So unless you have a funky setup you can just install the cable and housing(s) like before, only the rear will be a tad longer and won't use the last cable stop.

    Cheers,

    Maurice

    No pics yet but.....

I thought about that except the only cable stop for the rear brake is just behind the stem. The cable is(was) then exposed all the way back to the seatpost area where is entered a cable router that is welded to the frame and centered the cable up for the the cantis. There is not cable stop back by the seatpost area. I know this sounds confusing and I will try to get some pics up.

    Thanks

Oh I see. I'd go full housing and simply zip-tie the cable to the frame then.

    Here's what you need

though I don't know where to get one. Maybe Problem Solvers? This is also an old Spec. frame:

Edit: You might be able to attach this thingee to your seatpost QR and make it work:

Also, you could send a PM to DeeEight. He may have one hanging around.

I'd check out the Sheldon Brown website or give them a call and ask about the bolt-on stop Fast Eddy posted a picture of. If its something odd then they can usually get it.
