Cool-blue Rhythm Bling Bling or Porn? Which is it?

Finally finished it up. Some answers to questions that some of you might have.

    Frame:
It rides very stiff, my body weight is 130#, especially with the headshok but once I put the shiver sc on it felt much better. I wasn't impress with the finishing job on this frame. You can see specks of dust in the paint. By the way the flame job is not paint it's a decal, only the black and gold is paint. When cannondale tap the holes for the water bottle mounts they didn't get the alumium bits out of the down tube. I only hear them when I flip the bike upside down. I tried to shake'em out and got a few pieces out, took me about half an hour then I said the hell with it. There is only a hole at the head tube end and it's a small hole at that.

    Bottom Bracket:
The eccentric bb is very easy to adjust. I've heard some complaints about the bolt to loosen/tighten the eccentric is on the drive side being really hard to get to. I don't know about the previous model eccentric bb but with this one you can leave the main body of the bb as is and just flip the wedge over so the bolt head is on the non-drive side. To adjust the eccentric I just loosen the bolt until the tread side is flush with the wedge (until you can't see the treads). Leave the allen wrench in the bolt head and tap the wrench with something. I also use anit seize, instead of grease cause it last longer, on the eccentric.

    Headshok:
The headshok is very light but having had a cannondale/headshok in the past I knew the damping isn't all that great compared to the bomber forks I've been using all these years. It's also as stiff as I remember, great tracking. So the only down side is damping. For those that want a light stiff fork the headshoks by far in everyway is better then the SID forks.

    Shiver SC:
I've heard lot of people say this fork is too flexy. It might be true for the 120mm travel version but my 100mm one is very stiff. Way stiffer then my marathon S. It feels stiffer then the headshok too but maybe cause it's alot more forgiving, I'll just have to ride it more. I couldn't pass up the clearance price at supergo and since I already had a King 20mm thru-axle, I said what the hell. The damping/feel on this is the best I've ever rode for a single crown fork. Because marzocchi's info says that this fork's brake tabs are for 8" rotors I thought I was gonna end up without using a front brake but it works fine with my 160mm rotor hope mono mini. Yes, this fork is heavy, I think almost 2x heavier then the headshok.

    Weight:
The weight of this set up right now is ~25#, I haven't actually put it on a scale yet. With the headshok it was ~22#. I don't know the stock weight. I originally wanted to make it sub 20# but couldn't with the parts that I wanted to use so I said the hell with weight, and yes I can feel the extra heft of the bomber over the headshok. Performance is more important to me so now I have a porky steed.

Sorry for the link for some reason I couldn't upload the pix.

    101:
    Class, let's begin...
Bike Porn...usually refers to pictures of complete bikes...
    Bling...usually is refering to higher-end components, upgrades,etc.

for example, your bike has a "bling-bling" paint job.

But I do think your rig qualifies for the term... "Blinglespeed."

I agree with the guy who said to save the headshock - I betcha it might track a little better than the Shiver SC you have on it currently.

Nice bike! I saw one of those the other day in a local shop and it's really sharp up close.

    Warranty void?

    Does a 100mm fork void the 1fg Ultra's warranty?

but the headshok has a very high axle to crown height almost the same as the shiver sc. C'dale's other models use the 110mm lefty. Those leftys are also very tall forks.
