    Red spacers

A friend of mine started a company to sell aluminum single speed spacers for 8/9 speed shimano. They are red anodized and have a chain guide. Pretty sweet. Email him (eric) for photos and pricing: AmericanSingleSpeed@gmail.com.

E-bay. Seriously. I've found they pop up there once in a bit. Tioga used to make a ti cassette that came with blue ones.

SRP used to make some as well; I've got some blue on my SS, and some red ones hanging around. Use them to take up slack on my geared, as I'm only using 8 cogs from the 9 speed set. www.srp-usa.com

Saw some green ones once, that incited seriously small part bike geeks lust. Never found out who made them/where they came from though.

Or, take the black ones and paint them.

caveat: all the above are cassette spacers. bad, blurry pics:

Will those work with wide based cogs like King and Boone?

For right now the spacer set is only compatible with a standard shimano cassette body and standard width shimano/bmx chain ring.

Do those only work on a 52 mm chainline or will it also work on a 42 mm chainline? Those would look sweet on my Il Pompino, though better if they were pink or silver.

I have one of Eric's spacer kits in my posession, and it is one sweet piece! I know he's talking about a 7 speed version, and maybe some different chainline variations. Email him if you have input on things you'd like to see. Let's support the USA made SS goods!
