9X1 Acorn nuts for Surly New Hub...

I am looking for a couple of acorn style axle nuts for a 9X1 axle. I have tried every online hardware store and bike sites. The Surly hub uses regular nuts, would be nice to have closed ends to keep the axle clean and dry. Would be nice to have green anodized alloy ones

Use tracknuts and some grease. There is no need to keep the axle dry - I go though a dozen stream crossings on an average ride and it doesn't bother a thing. Acorn nuts will probably bottom out and they don't have a nice built in washer that prevents you from shredding your dropouts.

Good points...It's been raining and raining and raining here so I'm probably just bored. It's supposed to rain thru Labor Day.
