10 speed cranks + ss chain is that ok ?

    Hello

2 month ago i took a fsa road 10 speed crankset with outboard bearings, and mounted it on a specialized langster ss frame, matched it with a KMC Chains Z610 HX Chain Silver 1/2" x 3/32" (112 Link) and a 16 fireeye rear cog
When biking it sometimes make a grinding noise, like chipping a tooth, i run it at the big ring 50 tooth, and it was quite worn, -but as i can see now after riding it for that short while, it looks more worn, and the teeth looks more spikey ! -i was thinking the chainset is to narrow or what ?
I have an old 8 speed square, will that work better ?

    Thanxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

its not the crank its the chainring. They make SS specific chainrings. The grinding noise makes me think your chain is too tight.
