    '02 monocog revived as commuter

the 120mm spacing monocog has been sitting in the living room since i got a kona unit to take care of the trails. it came out of retirement after two winters of heavy salting resulted in too many potholes too big for my skinny tired fixie commuter. it's now dressed up in 1.75" michelin country & rocks, powered by 47-17 on 165mm cranks.

Nice commute bike - are you running fixed or free?

running it free--hard to find 110mm fixie hubs (my original post has a typo--it's 110mm spacing not 120mm). feels very weird riding a freewheeling mtb on the road after all the miles on a 700c fixie.
