013 Syllamos Revenge recap. stories? I'll start..

Rough day for me. Had a good start going into the woods 5th at the top of the climb, felt great. I made a equipment mistake and rode rigid which beat the hell out of me on the first loop. Had vision issues as well with foggy contacts due to the muggy conditions, pollen and excessive vibration and shaking. I have been riding rigid since last summer without too much problems at Laramie, BT Epic, Whiskey, etc. Syllamo it didn't work out so well. By the time I got to the smoother loops I was done and every rock or root was 3 ft. tall and in my way. Fun times anyway. Oh yeah I also hit the big washout on the finish decent at about 30 mph, nearly killed me, barely got my front tire over it hitting it with my rear causing a front wheel wheelie ride for about 50 ft.

Are you the one in 10th place? Good job. Looks like Pflug tore up the 125k.

What was your bike set up?

I haven't seen results yet, are they posted? I raced the 50, I'd be happy with 10th based on how my day went but doubt I did that well, I got sucked up by a lot of guys once my vision issues kicked in. I rode a Niner AIR Carbon 32x20 w Renegades (not good on greasy rock). Pflug is an animal.

I'm on a Niner as well (One 9). I keep the suspension fork on for rides over 30 miles...

Thanks! Yep that's me, I thought at one time I was passed by 2-300 SS guys, seemed like it anyway. The over 30 rule is a good one. I should also obey the over 40 age rule as it applies to suspension.

Well, I feel like a whimp, then, since I'm few years till I hit 40. By the way, you should probably post this in the endurance forum. I only know very few posters here that do any sort of endurnace races.

If you're ever at the Park City P2P, give me a shout. I'll probably be in it next year.

I'll check out the enduro forum. Park City Utah? You must know Craig Z. The sick fast SS winner. I've been chasing him at Syllamo for years.

Zediker is definitely a badass! I would love to see him race the 125k and go head to head with Pflug!👍

I didn't race a SS this year, but my roommate did. He killed it and was 5th SS/12th overall.
