I have searched and googled to no avail, lots of mention of the bike's overall weight, but not the frame. I have a 2012 Slayer 70, but I haven't stripped her down to weigh the frame only, has anyone else? She's at about 33lbs with pedals and I'm wondering how much weight I can reasonably shave without swapping frames...
thanks
I have a 12 Slayer70 too, with I9 hubs laced to Flows, lost the front DR for Race Face narrow wide, and swapped out the formulas for xt brakes, light weight tubes, and I'm using 5050s3 pedals. It's down to just under 31lbs with pedals.
Maybe going with a lighter casing tire than the Ardents and tubeless would lose a bit more.
The Slayer SXC frame was about 7 pounds in a large with the L2CR suspension. The new Slayers have a simpler suspension, so likely around 6.5-6.8 pounds with the shock.
I think the newer Slayers should be lighter than the SXC 70 frame.
