Hey guys, swapping a friend's bike to disc brakes and tried to remove the brake posts from his Dart (I believe) 2 fork. When we did, there was a hissing sound. It went away when the hole was plugged. I'm not sure what this could be. I don't think this is an air shock though. What's going on here?
Bike is a Gary Fisher Marlin 26". I think it's an 09'ish.
Was it hissing when using the fork? If so, when compressing it, you're reducing the volume inside, air is escaping out the hole. When you plugged it, air is getting compressed and not escaping, hence no hiss.
